December TAVA Update

TAVA is excited to announce that Dr. Jamison Green has agreed to be a Keynote Speaker at two of our events. Dr. Green is a former President of WPATH a huge advocate of veterans and the trans community. He was instrumental in the forming TAVA 20 years ago with Monica Helms and Angela Brightfeather. Dr. Green has signed on to speak at our 20th Anniversary Conference & Celebration June 16-17th, 2023 in Washington DC. He has also agreed to be a keynote at a future TAVA event in Los Angeles from in late April of 2024.

We can also announce that Dr. Maurice Garcia of Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles CA, will be presenting at three major TAVA events. Dr. Garcia is a well known surgeon specializing in gender affirming procedures and is a huge advocate for trans veterans. He plans to present the topic of current innovations and new tech regarding surgical procedures for transgender men and women. He is scheduled to speak Friday, January 20th, 2023 from 2PM - 3PM at the TAVA Virtual LGBTQ+ Health & Wellness Summit (FREE). Dr. Garcia will also be presenting at TAVA’s 20th Anniversary Conference & Celebration in June and the future event in late April of 2024. For the event in California, he plans to give a presentation in Spanish.
