The Pride and Courage group provides a safe and inclusive space for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, queer, and intersex Veterans. Veterans are encouraged to address their experiences in the military, their families, their communities, as well as their experiences and feelings associated with having to deny their sexuality and/or gender identity in their professional life and to gain support from the group. Facilitators provide psychoeducation on internalized homophobia, identity development, coping with shame and stigma and other related topics as needed.
